Messy Church

On Saturday 23 March come and join in our activities as we prepare for Mother's Day. We will be thinking about people who have played ‘mothering’ roles in our lives.  We will play games, do some messy craft and share some food together start at 4 pm.

Please let the Vicar know beforehand if possible so that resources are prepared by calling Rev Janet Bacon on 0161 485 3455 or emailing her at

Dates for our next sessions will be confirmed shortly...

The background

MESSY CHURCH is a form of celebration for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. It typically involves a welcome; a long creative time to explore the biblical theme through getting messy; a short celebration time involving story, prayer, song, games and similar; and a sit-down meal together at tables. For further information phone 0161 485 3455.

Very successful services have been held at approximately three monthly intervals since March 2014.

Messy Church is held in the church starting at 4 pm and lasts for just over an hour with food served afterwards in the meeting room.
