FUNERALS
Arranging a funeral can be very stressful and upsetting at what is already a difficult and demanding time. We try to make sure this process is as simple and straightforward as possible.
The vicar or whoever is taking the service from our church will visit you to discuss your wishes for the content of the funeral service. We are happy to advise you regarding hymns and readings and orders of service. Certain prayers have to be said but we are flexible with regard to music and any readings (religious or non-religious) which you might like in the service.
Your loved one's name will be remembered in our prayers and there is also the opportunity, should you wish it, to have their name placed in our Book of Remembrance. There is no charge for this. Bereaved families are in our thoughts and prayers after the service too and if there is anything further we can do to help we are there for you.
Our churchyard is now full so no more plots are available for burial but if your loved one was a resident of the parish or was on the electoral roll you can have their ashes interred in the churchyard. It is not possible to scatter ashes in the churchyard. They are buried and a short service will be conducted at the burial. A charge is made for this.
