Charities for 2019

The All Saints' Charities Committee has decided to support the following three local charities in 2019. These were nominated by members of our congregation.

Beacon Counselling, Stockport

Beacon Counselling exists to improve the lives of adults, young people and children suffering from mental and emotional stress. It provides confidential counselling by appointment throughout the week in central Stockport.

Stockport Women’s Centre

The centre provides services to any woman in need of support – including those who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence.

(Photo from Mustard Tree)They summarise their activities with the following statement. “Mustard Tree helps people to change their lives, secure better accommodation and economic wellbeing. Our focus is on tackling both the causes and consequences of poverty and homelessness. Since 1994 we have created opportunities for people to help themselves through providing practical support, friendship, connections into and improvements to health and wellbeing, alongside new experiences to encourage aspiration.

Charity Events for 2019

Please note these in your diaries.

Friday 28 June Summer Event (Beetle Drive in Church)

Saturday 14 September Charities Coffee Morning (Meeting Room)

Sunday 13 October Harvest Lunch (Parish Rooms)

Saturday 23 November Christmas Fair (Parish Rooms)

We hold a raffle at each of our events. If you are able to donate a raffle prize, we would be very grateful. It doesn’t have to be an expensive item and we can accept contributions at any time.
