Coronavirus update

To keep us all safe, our Churchwardens are keeping a close eye on Diocesan and Church of England guidance and advice from the Government. We will provide any updates on this page:

Updated Tuesday 20 July

From 25 July, we will resume serving refreshments at the end of the Sunday 10 am service so please stay if you can and chat over a cuppa.

We will still have our social distancing in place (green tick markers in the pews) but if you would like to sit next to a friend then you are welcome to. However, please be aware of those sitting around you.

To help protect others we would strongly encourage you to continue to wear your masks when in the church building. Being vaccinated greatly reduces the transmission of Covid but it doesn’t prevent it completely.

At this stage, we won't be changing how we take Communion or 'share' the Peace.

Congregational singing will resume in the latter half of August and we'll review all the arrangements at the end of the month.

If you don't feel able to join us in person then please join us for worship via YouTube

Updated Wednesday 10 March

The PCC has agreed to the Standing Committee's proposal to re-open the church for in-person worship on Sunday 21 March. Each Sunday we will have a communion service at 10 am. This will continue to be available online for those who are not able to return to church. You will be able to watch this on the All Saints YouTube channel and the All Saints Facebook page.

We're looking forward to everyone coming back into our building but please follow the guidance of our Churchwardens' Team and wear a mask. We appreciate your help keeping us all safe.

Updated Tuesday 9 February

The Standing Committee has decided that in light of the current rates in Cheadle Hulme we should continue to keep the building shut. We recognise that the number of cases are reducing, however in our area they continue to be high. We will review this again on 8 March. Thank you again for your understanding.

Updated Thursday 14 January

The Parochial Church Council has decided with heavy hearts to close our church building. We feel we need to do this to keep us all safe because of the rising local rates of cases and deaths related to the coronavirus. Sadly, we are entering a new and more difficult phase of the pandemic.

However, even though the building is closed, as a church we will still be worshipping.

We will be putting together a service for people to do at home whilst we investigate live streaming our worship. Keep an eye on this website and on our Facebook page. (And, of course, we will also be supporting people who don't receive our email or have access to the internet.)

We will review this decision after Sunday 7 February.

Updated Thursday 26 November

Services at All Saints are able to resume from Wednesday 2 December. On that morning we will hold a short communion service at 10 am to mark the end of the second national lockdown.

Starting on Sunday 6 December, we'll hold a Parish Communion service at 10 am every Sunday (except Sunday 27 December) and the church will be open for private prayer every Wednesday between 10 and 11 am.

Updated Friday 6 November

During this second lockdown we are not able to hold any services. However, all are welcome to pray, reflect or just enjoy some quiet time at All Saints on a Sunday between 10 and 11 am and on a Wednesday between 10 and 11 am.

Seating has been measured for social distancing and will be one (or one couple household) on each pew in use, with pews in between left vacant.

Hand gel and disposable face masks will be available at the church entrance. Please bring your own if you have them.
